F8 brought a whirlwind of information that needed to be put into a clean and clear story that audiences could follow. I worked one on one with different speakers to help create visually engaging and informative presentation decks for their talks.
Here are some decks that I designed:
A Lighter, Faster, Simpler Messenger

Working onsite at Facebook on two different conferences was an incredible experience. I worked one on one with different speakers to help create visually engaging and informative presentation decks for their talks. The end result was stunning and I even got a little shout out from a speaker during his talk.
For a presentation designer, TED Talks are basically the holy grail of projects. I was fortunate enough to have the opportunity to create a TEDx deck for the presentation, Energy Making Life by Dr. Guy Miller.
As a new biotechnology company, Atomix Biology required not only an innovative brand, but also a presentation deck to help communicate their message. Here is a small sample of their new brand and content.
When it comes to clear and concise communication, sometimes a simple and accurate illustration is the best approach.I have created instructional graphics for a wide variety of uses, including instructional pamphlets, pharmaceutical instruction inserts, training manuals, and simple reference guides. The key is knowing which details to include and which to leave out to allow for maximum clarity.

A unique combination of science and technology, BioElectron is an innovative company with unique design requirements. As the Senior Lead of Design, I worked with a team of designers and developers to manage their brand and presentations.
BRAND DESIGN
BioElectron required a complete rebrand, along with logo, collateral, website, and messaging. Along with my team of designers and contractors, I lead the rebranding effort and created a timeless yet innovative brand evocative of the future of biotechnology.
SCIENTIFIC INFORMATION GRAPHICS
Scientific information graphics are a unique challenge and by far my favorite type of project. I have many years of experience working with scientists to help them simplify their message and create accessible information for any audience.
PRESENTATION DESIGN
With complex and information-dense content, BioElectron often required visual simplification to communicate their information effectively. I employed a combination of information communication and storytelling to create cohesive narrative appropriate for the intended audience.
Communicating science is one of my favorite areas of design. I work with scientists to help determine the heart of their message and turn it into a clear and informative narrative. Depending on the context and audience, the content could be anywhere from an exact illustration for a scientific publication or a cartoon to illustrate a concept to introduce an idea.
The Intel International Science and Engineering Fair (Intel ISEF), a program of Society for Science & the Public (the Society), is the world's largest international pre-college science competition. My task was to create a 250 foot long, 8 foot tall hallway banner depicting a timeline of innovation. This was a unique challenge and the results were larger than life.
Founded with the diverse needs of Silicon Valley startups in mind, LTEK is a rapidly-growing IT company with a mission to make IT simple. The mission here was to create a brand that reflected both their modern, high tech image and the modular nature of their solutions. The four squares coming together to create a larger square represents the modular products that they create for their customers.
I make animated gifs for all occasions and for fun. Why not add a little motion to your designs?
Inspired by the brilliant podcast, BrainStuff, this animation gives visual life to their audio. Check out the whole podcast here!
